Hi was just wondering how I would read books on my phone. I just downloaded the kindle ap and a book but can't get my phone to read it. I also just got the overdrive ap which I used on my library site. Anyone use either of these and know anything about them?
sorry, I don't know about those,
but I use iBooks for reading.
Hi.
I couldn't get the Kendle app to do a single thing so wrote it off as completely inaccessible.
I don't know about the Overdrive app. I haven't used Overdrive in quite a while and that was on a PC and a blackjack mobile phone. lol
I have heard good things about Ibooks but haven't used it. Sorry to not be more helpful.
I've used Ibooks too, as the Kindle app is not currently accessible to my knowledge. One thing I've noticed with Ibooks however - and when reading many other large texts on websites and other apps - is that Voiceover will sometimes either skip a paragraph or block of text, or read it twice when using say-all mode. Anyone had that problem?
I will have to try i books. I read on applevis that overdrive works well but I'm just so used to the way it works on my computer.
You should also try the Bookshare app if you have access to that as well as Audible if you have access to that. Both are very good.
I have heard the B&N Nook app is accessible but haven't tried it personally.
Thanks I will try those. At this point I'll try anything! Lol the last few days I have spent a lot of time trying to figure this out. I love the phone but I have so much to learn!
There is an app called Voice Dream Reader which I have recently discovered. It reads files using the acapella voices, though it also supports normal reading with VoiceOver if you want to do it that way. It links to dropbox, and opens quite a number of text file formats. This might help.
Nook is accessible as far as I know. I don't know how to download books onto the Nook app. Do I need to sink with my PC?
